I learned this the hard way: after configuring Single Sign-On credentials for an Enterprise Application Definition in MOSS 2007, I kept getting SingleSignonCredsNotFoundException's thrown when accessing the Business Data Catalog data.

Actually in retrospect, it is quite obvious.
